Ductile iron grates are the heavy-duty end of the ACO KlassikDrain K100 grate range. Cast from ductile iron to ASTM A536-84 Grade 65-45-12 and load rated per EN 1433, the family runs from Class C commercial duty (56,202 lbs) up to Class E industrial duty (134,885 lbs) — the highest rating offered in the 100 series and suited to industrial areas, gas stations, and light commercial forklift traffic.

The Type 479Q brings the family's decorative side to the surface: its Mosaic pattern dresses up plazas, storefronts, and pedestrian areas, while the half-meter casting still carries an EN 1433 Load Class C rating of 56,202 lbs — demanding load requirements never have to come at the expense of appearance. Like every grate in the family, it fits ACO Drain K100 galvanized-rail, KS100 stainless-rail, and H100K-8 channels and secures with ACO's boltless QuickLok locking system; once the grates and QuickLok bar are removed, there is uninterrupted access to the trench for cleaning and maintenance.
