Plastic grates give the ACO KlassikDrain K100 and KS100 trench drain systems a lightweight, non-metallic surface option. Molded from UV-stable polypropylene or resin composite, each grate in this family is a half-meter unit sized for the line's 4" (100 mm) internal width channels, and every part number fits both the galvanized steel edge rail of the K100 and the stainless steel edge rail of the KS100, as well as ACO's H100K-8 channels. The family spans ADA-compliant longitudinal designs in black, gray, and tan rated to EN 1433 Load Class A, plus heel-resistant slotted patterns rated to EN 1433 Load Class C. Every grate secures to the channel with one of ACO's boltless locking systems — DrainLok or QuickLok — and lifts back out to leave the trench fully open for cleaning and maintenance.

The Type 492Q (ACO part number 31710) is the family's heel-resistant slotted grate in QuickLok form, molded from UV-stable resin composite in black and rated to EN 1433 Load Class C at 56,202 lbs (774-1,160 PSI) — the heavier-duty end of the plastic grate family for commercial K100, KS100, and H100K-8 runs. Its slotted surface pairs 1.75" x 0.31" (45 x 8 mm) and 1.17" x 0.31" (30 x 8 mm) openings to deliver 14.5 square inches (93.5 sq cm) of intake area per half-meter grate, and the pattern is Heel-Resistant, Bicycle Safe, Anti-Slip (BPN > 24 pendulum test), and Non-Metallic. The "Q" in the type code stands for ACO's patented QuickLok boltless locking system: the grate's stud push-fits into the stainless steel spring clip of a QuickLok locking bar — channel bar 02899, Series 900 basin bar 98717; each is sold separately.
