Galvanized steel grates are the general-purpose grate family for the ACO KlassikDrain K100 and KS100 4" trench drain systems, engineered to capture and convey stormwater across commercial and industrial applications. Grates in the 100 series are shared across both edge-rail materials, so a single part number fits galvanized-rail K100 channels and stainless-rail KS100 channels alike. The galvanized family spans perforated, slotted, longitudinal, and mesh patterns in 1 meter and 0.5 meter lengths, with EN 1433 load ratings that run from Class A pedestrian duty up to Class E heavy industrial duty, and several patterns carry ADA-compliant, heel-resistant ratings. Every grate secures to the channel with ACO's boltless DrainLok or QuickLok locking, and because the grate fitted determines the realized load class of the installed system, grate selection is the key specification decision for any K100/KS100 run.

The Type 412D (ACO part number 12667) is the 0.5 meter perforated ADA grate of the family, formed from 16 gauge galvanized steel and rated to EN 1433 Load Class A at 3,372 lbs (46-70 PSI) for pedestrian-duty K100, KS100, and H100K-8 runs. Its 0.25" (6 mm) diameter perforations deliver 14.1 square inches of intake area over the half-meter length of the grate, and the pattern is ADA Compliant, Heel-Resistant, Heel-Safe, Bicycle Safe, and LEED rated — well suited to pedestrian areas where accessibility matters. The factory-fitted DrainLok locking device clips into the channel edge rail, and its anti-shunt mechanism restricts unwanted grate movement — boltless, barless, and with no locking bar to purchase.
