Schedule 40 PVC Bushings are used when a piping system or structure made from PVC requires the connection of pipes of two different diameters. PVC Bushings tend to have threaded ends, although some models do have slip ends. Threaded ends on a PVC bushing allows for a tight seal without the need to use an adhesive product. This works well in situations where the pipes may need to be removed or replaced regularly and flow or pipe size needs reduced.
