Schedule 80 caps are a handy fitting used to terminate runs of a pipe. Due to the domed nature of the Schedule 80 cap, air naturally pools in the end; when the line is under pressure, the air that pools inside the cap is compressed instead of blowing the end off the pipe. As a result, it is imperative to use the right kind of cap for your application, especially in a pressure scenario. Be sure to consult Drainage Connect's guide for the max pressures you're able to run for your PVC line.
