The ACO Brickslot 100 series replaces a conventional grate with a discreet slot-top for the KlassikDrain K100 and KS100 trench drain system. Fabricated from 11 gauge steel, each unit fits directly into the channel's grate recess and presents only a narrow drainage slot at the finished surface. Brick pavers fit directly against the slot — the units are designed for 80 mm pavers including 1/8" (3 mm) of bedding — so stormwater is captured along an almost seamless line in plazas, walkways, and other commercial spaces where unobtrusive drainage is essential.

Rated to EN 1433 Load Class C, Brickslot 100 installs without bolts or locking hardware and pairs with K100/KS100 channels as well as Series 900 catch basins. The range spans galvanized and stainless steel construction, standard and heel-resistant slot geometries, 1 meter and 0.5 meter lengths, and half-meter access units that keep the covered system serviceable.

The Heel-Resistant Type 483 (ACO part number 138052) is the galvanized steel access unit of that heel-resistant range: a 19.69" (500 mm / 0.5 meter) frame in 11 gauge galvanized steel with a separate removable insert that provides maintenance access to the channel, trash bucket, or outlet pipes beneath the covered surface. Its heel-resistant slot geometry — offset double 5/16" (8 mm) slot openings flaring to a 7/8" (22 mm) throat — complies with ADA 2010 Sec 302.3 and ASME A112.6.3 Sec 7.12, and the unit carries ADA Compliant, Bicycle Safe, Heel-Resistant, and LEED credentials. Like every Brickslot 100 unit, the 11.0 lb Type 483 rests in the channel grate seating with no DrainLok or QuickLok hardware — anti-shunt lugs prevent lateral movement, and the weight of the covering material secures the unit — while the assembly stands 3.27" (83 mm) tall and adds 4.06" (103 mm) above the overall channel depth.
