Coronavirus Quarantine: Drainage Connect Update
Coronavirus Quarantine: Drainage Connect Update
As I write this blog, the CDC has just confirmed community transmission of coronavirus and the disease it causes (COVID-19) in South Carolina. As every company we've ever given our emails to has bombarded us with their preparation plans, we felt this blog was overdue to address Drainage Connect's response to COVID-19 .
Most of you know us for our great customer service, our low prices, and our commitment to quality content but behind the scenes, there's a robust operation at Drainage Connect. To ensure the safety of our personnel, all non-essential employees are working from home. While experts seem to have come to the consensus that the virus is unlikely to spread through mail, Drainage Connect employees take additional precautions with your orders maintaining a safe working environment and follow CDC (Centers for Disease Control) Guidelines designed to stop the spread of the virus; these precautions include:
- No visitors are allowed on the premises.
- All employees are required to wear gloves while boxing products; this ensures no physical contact with your products.
- Social distancing is in effect: all employees remaining at the office are stationed well more than six feet apart.
- Using hand sanitizer.
- Using proper disinfectant products to keep touchpoints clean in their workspaces, stations, and equipment.
- All employees must wash their hands upon entering work, using the bathroom, or leaving the premises.
- Follow key guidelines given by the US Department of Labor
As of now, Drainage Connect remains open for business; we're still promptly shipping orders, answering phones, and doing our best to maintain a somewhat normal workplace. If that status changes and you have an open order, we will call you -- if you would like a refund at that time, we'll be more than happy to give you one. While we're open, though, we're doing our best to ensure that you can stock up on projects to do in the case of an eventual quarantine; things can get boring around the house quickly! In that vein, we're going to be doing a Coronavirus Quarantine series focusing on small, easy-to-do tasks everyday homeowners can do on their own with minimal equipment and expense. For theIf you have a great idea for a blog for the series, a drainage question, or just want to ask us a random question, don't hesitate to leave a comment below, send us a message at mail@drainageconnect.com, or contact us through our contact form.
